RE-2X(St)YSWAY-fl is designed for communication and instrumentation applications in industries such as petroleum exploration, cement, papermaking, steel, and power generation, as well as for intrinsically safe systems in hazardous areas like petrochemical plants and thermal power stations, to monitor measurement equipment in process automation applications. The armoured type provides mechanical strength and protects the cable core from external mechanical influences. These cables are employed for connecting instruments and control systems for analogue or digital signal transmission. They must not be directly connected to mains power or other low-impedance sources, as they are not designed for power supply purposes.

Conductor	Electrolytic, stranded, annealed plain copper wires to IEC 60228 Class 2 (Class 1 or Class 5 and / or tinned on request)
Insulation	XLPE compound to EN50290-2-29 Black / White twisted pairs with numbered cores
Binder Tape	Polyester foil on overall cable core formed by stranded pairs
Collective Screen	Aluminum/polyester foil with a tinned copper drain wire in direct contact with the metallic side of the foil
Inner Sheath	PVC compound
Armour	Round galvanised steel wires
Outer Sheath	Flame retardant PVC compound to EN50290-2-22 Blue for intrinsically safe cable Black for UV resistant and/or non-instrinsically safe cable Other colours on request
