What is Shielded Soow Cord ?

Shielded Soow Cord is a type of power cord that is designed for use with portable tools, small motors, and power extensions. Shielded soow cord features an EPDM insulation that is resistant to oil, acid, impact, abrasion, sunlight, flame, and high temperatures. Shielded soow cord is rated to 600 Volts and is both UL recognized and CSA listed. Shielded soow cord is also used for test or motor leads providing heavy-duty service for industrial tools, portable lights, battery chargers and equipment exposed to oils, solvents and grease. This is due to its synthetic rubber insulation with thermoset jacket withstanding 90°C. Shielded soow cord possesses good tensile strength, elongation and aging characteristics. Shielded soow cord offers high flexibility and excellent abrasion resistance.
