D12YC11Y cable is a low-voltage, screened, halogen-free round cable with a polyurethane (PUR) outer sheath. It is engineered primarily for dynamic industrial machinery, especially crane festoon systems and drag chains, where frequent bending and heavy mechanical stress occur.

Insulation:Halogen free compound, based on polyester
Core identification:Up to 5 cores: colored in accordance with DIN VDE 0293-308 From 6 cores: natural color with black numbers
Core arrangement:Cores/Pairs twisted with short length of lay around central element
Inner sheath:Due to technical reasons some of the cross section are produced with an additional polyurethane inner sheath
Screen over inner sheath:Braid of tinned copper wires
Outer sheath:Polyurethane, halogen free, flame retardant; Colour: black (opaque).

D12YC11Y cable is a highly flexible, screened power and control cable specifically engineered for heavy-duty mobile industrial applications. It is widely used in crane festoon systems, drag chains, and conveyor installations across demanding environments like container ports, steel mills, and automated automotive assembly lines. Thanks to its robust polyurethane (PUR) outer sheath and high-density copper wire braid shielding, the cable can withstand continuous, high-speed bending and tensile stress (with travel speeds up to 210 m/min) while ensuring excellent electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection. Furthermore, its halogen-free, flame-retardant chemistry provides outstanding resistance to abrasion, oils, UV radiation, and extreme low temperatures down to -40°C, making it an ideal choice for ensuring reliable power transmission in the harshest industrial climates.
