(N)SGAÖU Cable and (N)SGAFCMÖU Cable Description:
(N)SGAÖU Cable for short circuit and grounding connections. Available in rated voltages from 1kV to 6kV, they are suited to use in rail vehicles, buses, switch cabinets and continuously operating installations. Installation can be in pipes and pipe work ducts as well as in dry interiors, both indoor and outdoors, as well as dry, humid, wet or oily environments.
(N)SGAFCMÖU Cable with EMC screening for short circuit and grounding connections requiring 3.6/6kV. They are suited to use in rail vehicles, buses, switch cabinets and continuously operating installations. Installation can be in pipes and pipe work ducts as well as in dry interiors, both indoor and outdoors, as well as dry, humid, wet or oily environments.
(N)SGAOU and (N)SGAFCMOU meaning
“N” specifying that the NSGAFOU cable is a standardised line. “SG” means special rubber single core cable. “A” indicates “wire” and the additions of “O” and “U” represent the properties “oil-resistant” and “flame-retardant”. “U” used to abbreviate the word “inflammable”.

(N)SGAÖU and (N)SGAFCMÖU Cable Feature:
With their flexible Class 5 stranded conductors, these cables are commonly specified in the transport industry, being used on rail rolling stock and buses, but also with automation and control applications in switch cabinets and other continuously operating installations. They have an EPDM Rubber (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) insulation and a robust Rubber sheathing.
The (N)SGAFCMÖU has an additional tinned copper wire braid (TCWB) as part of its construction to provide EMC protection against electromagnetic interference. These cables are a variant of the commonly specified (N)SGAFÖU cables.
