Type 260 Mining Cable

Type 260 Mining Cable Description

The Type 260 mining cable is an armored, flexible rubber mining cable primarily used as a power feeder cable in mining operations, such as sand mines or open-pit mines. Considering the demanding requirements of the mining environment, the Type 260 mining cable is designed with ethylene propylene rubber insulation and a high-strength, oil-resistant neoprene rubber sheath. The cable features a three-core configuration, with a central guide conductor stranded onto a braided separator. An overall tinned copper braided shield serves as the grounding conductor in this structure.
The 260 series cable is available in voltage ratings of 1.1kV (Type 260.1), 3.3kV (Type 260.3), 6.6kV (Type 260.6), and 11kV (Type 260.11). Our 260 series mining cables are manufactured in compliance with Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 1125.
