Type 245 Mining Cable Description:

Type 245 mining cables are flexible rubber-insulated cables specifically designed for heavy-duty dynamic applications in underground and open-pit mining environments. They cover voltage ranges from 1.1kV to 6.6kV (Type 245.1-1.1kV, Type 245.3-3.3kV, Type 245.6-6.6kV), with an operating temperature range of -25°C to 90°C. They are particularly suitable for use as trailing cables for longwall shearers and other mining machinery. Constructed from tinned copper conductors, EPR (ethylene propylene rubber) insulation, and a robust PCP (neoprene) sheath, these cables ensure exceptional durability. They incorporate a semi-conductive barrier, a central expandable fly lead for control, and multiple gap-ground conductors to guarantee reliable earth continuity monitoring and equipment safety under harsh conditions. Manufactured to Australian Standards (AS/NZS), these cables are waterproof, oil-resistant, flame-retardant, and UV-resistant.
