Type 209 mining cable is a flexible, trailing feeder cable designed for various mining applications, especially for mobile equipment like drills and pumps, and is manufactured to Australian and New Zealand standards (AS/NZS 1802). It features three tinned copper insulated power cores, a central pilot core for monitoring, and a heavy-duty, flame-retardant, oil-resistant Polychloroprene (PCP) sheath.
With options in voltages ranging from 1.1kV to 11kV (Type 209.1 - 1.1kV; Type 209.3 - 3.3kV; Type 209.6 - 6.6kV; Type 209.11 - 11kV), Type 209 mining cables are robust, water and UV resistant cables for use in both underground and open pittable mining operations.

Type 209 mining cables are widely used as proper flexible feeder cables throughout the Mining sector. The smaller-cross-sectional cables here are used with mobile hand-operated equipment such as drills but may also by used with equipment such as fans and pumps. Manufactured in accordance with Australian & New Zealand standards, they are specified the world over for large scale opencast mining operations.
